The Challenge
Ian Bottomley, Managing Director of OMG45, wanted to give his customers not just a fantastic range of craft gins, but also an experience that would introduce customers to the story of the brand and give them access to recipes for drinks using the brands unique flavours.
The Solution
Ian explained that Eddie from Tri-IQ created a series of QR code labels that have been applied to the bottles so that a customer can scan the QR with a smart phone and be taken to an experience page to learn about the brand, read the history and enjoy new drinks ideas. The QR also allows customers to order more supplies of gin directly from the ecommerce site without having to type the URL.
The Outcome
What has this done for Ian’s brand? Ian commented " It has greatly increased the amount of traffic to the web site, but perhaps more important to me, is the positive feedback I have had from customers. The fast access to the information giving the back story of the brand and its meaning, helped them understand that the love and attention to detail is what makes the OMG45 so flavoursome and unique."
Ian continued “I also believe potential customers scanning the QR code will be more likely to choose the brand, as they see the ethos and the back story."
